AUSTRALIAN SOLAR INDUSTRY'S RECORD-BREAKING YEAR 2010
The Australian PV Association (APVA) reports
- An amazing overall installations increasing from 79 MWp in 2009 to 383 MWp in 2010 (more than quadrupled).
- Grid connected system installations in this sector increasing from 67 MWp in 2009 to 378 MWp in 2010
- Total PV electricity production of total electricity consumption: 0.3%
To put these figures into perspective, Germany installed an additional of around 8,000 MWp in 2010 and PV accounts for around 2% of the total electricity consumption.
Solarmatrix is proud to be an integral part of this strong market growth and continues to expand its operations in Australia to make solar power an affordable clean energy source for everyone.
