SMA Technologie AG was founded as an independent company out of Kassel's University in 1981 with the vision to develop and produce intelligent computer-based control systems for decentralized energy supply. This vision resulted in sophisticated products that are fail-safe and extremely reliable. Especially an energy supply system has to guarantee long-term trouble-free operation.
As the first manufacturer of an inverter suitable for mass production, SMA has concentrated on repeatedly diversifying the implementation possibilities with new technologies, so that today any system constellation from 400 Wp and upwards can be optimally realized with an SMA inverter.
