The Sunny Island 5048 is an off-grid inverter that simulates an AC grid, allowing to connect "normal" grid connect solar PV systems, wind turbines, hydro generators, fuel cells etc. to it. Thus making future system expansions extremely easy and cost effective.

Then it takes care of the battery management including charging. It is capable of controlling your petrol/diesel generator as well. You can also run DC appliances from it such as lights, or pumps.

If you have a higher power demand, it is possible to cluster multiple Sunny Island units together and even built three-phase systems.
