Rebates, STCs, LGCs & Solar Credits

Australia offers several incentive schemes to reduce the upfront costs of your renewable energy investment. 

These are STCs (formerly known as RECs), Solar Credits and LGCs. Important to know is that they are not Government rebate schemes and they are not provided by public funds. It is private entities who sell these certificates to liable parties.

STCs Small-scale Certificates

In the residential and commercial market so called Small-scale Certificates (STCs) can be claimed to reduce the upfront costs. Formerly these STCs were known as Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
